Reconnecting to Your Core After a C-Section
Your scar has healed. So why does your tummy still feel like it belongs to someone else?
It pulls, or it's numb. Your middle feels unsupported. And however many core exercises you try, you still can't find your deep abdominal muscles.
That isn't a lack of effort. Nobody showed you how to rebuild the connection after abdominal surgery, and that's exactly what we'll work on in this live, practical session.
I've worked exclusively with C-section mums for six years, and this is the piece so many women tell me nobody explained.
You'll learn:
Gentle, hands-on techniques to release tension around your scar
How to find your deep core again, and what it should feel like when it's working
Why trying harder or doing more exercise isn't the answer, and what your body needs instead
This session is for you if you:
Feel disconnected from your tummy or deep core
Have tightness, pulling, numbness or discomfort around your scar
Are frustrated by a C-section shelf or overhang
Feel weak or unsupported through your middle
Struggle to trust your body after birth
Want to feel stronger and more at home in your body again
Whether you're a few months or many years beyond your C-section, it's not too late. You haven't failed, and your body isn't broken. It needs the right support.
You'll leave with practical techniques to keep using at home, and with more comfort, confidence and trust in your body, not only as a mother but as a whole human being.
Good to know: [replay available] | wear something you can move in and bring cushions, a mat, a blanket and an oil you can safely use on your body.
Please note: This session is suitable from six weeks postpartum. As we'll be doing gentle, hands-on scar work, your incision must be fully closed and healed. If you have any concerns about your recovery, please speak to your GP or healthcare professional before joining.
Want to go further? This session is a taster of the Reconnect phase in my online programme, Reclaim & Rise, where we build on it step by step.
